Asylum Challenge - Rule Bending

Last we left, Hoenn had a genie lamp. He wished for a long life, and resurrected two of the dead Sims, and sipped from the Elixir of Life twice himself.

Hoenn has made enough friends to become a congressman and WooHooed with them all except for John Burb (yet). He's earned $50,000 so is halfway to escaping the lunatic asylum.

Outside of Hoenn, two of the original, never died before residents are now old men who had unsurprisingly horrible lives. The resurrected female (Johto I think) is now the youngest in the house.

The other resurrectee? Oh yes, they were spooked by a ghost a died of fright, after being struck by lightning. Not a good day in general.

Hoenn may yet escape this place.

Asylum Challenge

I played in my asylum challenge the other day and went from eight Sims down to 3. I can't recall which fate befell who at the moment, but here's the list of deaths.

One Sim got in the new pool I built and then refused to get out to eat and subsequently drowned. I have since deleted the pool but her ghost leaves puddles everywhere that the others clean up and waste all their time and energy on.

The second one went out to watch clouds and got killed by a satellite which I haven't seen a legitimate death of ever before so that was surprising.

The third was splashing in a puddle and got hit with a bolt of lightning and fried.

The fourth died of starvation even though the fridge was stocked full.

The fifth died from starvation also I think, but it was when my Sim was at work and I've yet to see the ghost.

There was going to be a sixth death (from starvation) but as my Sim was there (Hoenn) he stepped in and won against the Grim Reaper.

I've also just obtained a genie lamp so may resurrect someone.

Meanwhile for Hoenn (my controlled Sim): He fell in love with Brandi LeTournea and WooHooed with her whilst the double bed was free. He fears getting rejected for engagement to her but he can only do that if he can escape the madhouse. He's also been promoted a time or two, and became friends with Angel something.

He also has a good friendship with the Sim he saved from death. He becomes an elder in 12 days along with the other living Sims besides the resurrect-ee who's adulthood has been set back to tick from the start.

It's just getting into winter, and my Sim's Lifetime Aspiration is to earn 100,000 Simoleons so it's possibly achievable.

Restart & Asylum Challenge

I've had to restart my games on my wife's laptop as my laptop is in it's last few throes of life.

So, things in Pleasantview are back to default. I have however, played as the Goodie family and started a new challenge, so here's all the details:

Goodie

I always think of the Goodie family as being kind of a replacement for the Oldie family (as I assume you're not meant to just install them all at once, so then the Oldies'll have died off) but I play them both differently.

Faith & Herbert got some jobs but both have unachievable lifetime wants given their age but I did make them adopt a child, Regina who has now studied all optional skills (Parenting, Fire Safety etc.) and all the normal skills, such as Cooking to maximum. She's just gone off to Sim State University to study Art to pursue a culinary career.

Faith & Herbert'll probably adopt another child when Regina is done with university. Next up is:

Asylum Challenge

Rules are here at Scout Sims.

I made the "Region" family, and made Hoenn (the sane one), Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh, Unova, Orre, Corna (from Pokémon Quartz) and Pokétopia as the other inmates.

Everything is going okay. Hoenn's lifetime want is to earn 100,000 simoleons, which he should achieve. No fire yet, some Sims have fallen asleep on the floor, some have pissed themselves but nobody has died yet and Hoenn has a good career in politics and a bit of a love life too.

Right, think that's all. Next time then.
